I'd like to suggest a modification that will automatically assign a member to a group based on the No. of posts the member have made. This would be very useful if you for example want a forum with limeted access for users with less than a certain number of posts.

The user should become member of the group when passing a defined value,

That would be a very easy mod, and you could run it on an overnight cron job.

Just check the U_TotalPosts for each person, and IF > a certain amount, then ALSO check the U_Groups, and IF they are not already in the group, append U_Groups to add the number.

The only problem is that I would like it to be instant, so users get access to the group immediately when they reach the nessecary post-count.

It would be done in addpost.php where their postcount is increased.

Yep, what Twisty said. Instead of a nightly cron, you just add the IF statement into your addpost.php.

You could have it do the check in the addpost.php file - and add the group if they are over X posts and not already a member of the group.
